Luke Currie tuned up perfectly for his ride on Australian Guineas favourite Hey Doc on Saturday, taking out the $150,000 TAB Cranbourne Cup (1600m) aboard the Matt Laurie-trained Master Reset on Friday night.
The five-year-old Reset gelding had been well supported in the betting, and the punters got it right again as he hit the front late to win by a neck from the Shawn Mathrick-trained Adirondack.
Adirondack was ridden quietly off the pace, and was introduced late in proceedings from an unfavourable draw to finish on strongly to loose no admirers from the 12 alley, with the Stuart Webb-trained Great Esteem holding on for third.
