A trip to South Australia’s Morphettville Park almost paid dividends for connections, with the Jason Holder piloted Hell On Earth going down in the concluding stages of the event, to be beaten only narrowly by the Jamie Kah piloted Emmooki’s Star.
The Shawn Mathrick prepared Hell On Earth was wide for most of the trip after leaving the second widest alley in (13), before looming as the main contender in the straight, only to be grabbed with 100m to go, to finish 0.6 lengths behind the Murray Bridge trained galloper.
Hell On Earth is four-year-old Bay gelding by Henrythenavigator out of Quinsigimond having raced 11 times this prep for 6 placings, with the margin here being 0.6 lengths, the second closest margin this prep, the tightest was Sale (0.3 lengths) back in April, finishing 2nd on that occasion.
