A tidy effort was put in by Global Assault at Sale on Sunday in race eight on the program with the runner knuckling down to the task at hand only to be grabbed by Wenner under the urgings of Linda Meech.

Jockey Ethan Brown had the horse moderately out, but sitting wide on entering the straight, Midway down the running, Wenner got out into the clear, striding up to grab the lead from Global Assault to claim the thicker end if the prize, Gold Fields finished 3rd some 2.0 lengths back.
